Dia do DeMolay na ALERJ
No dia 20 de março, a Câmara Municipal da Assembléia Legislativa do Estado do Rio de Janeiro dedicou uma Sessão Solene para homenagear a Ordem DeMolay. Fundada em 1919, nos Estados Unidos, e trazida ao Brasil pelo Soberano Grande Comendador Alberto Mansur, esta Ordem paramaçônica, dedicada aos jovens, tornou-se a maior em todo o mundo, superando a original americana.
A concorrida cerimônia, presidida pelo Exmo. Deputado Rodrigo Amorim, foi organizada por Márcio Schein e Diogo Damasceno, respectivamente Past Grande Mestre Estadual e atual Grande Mestre Estadual do Supremo Conselho DeMolay Brasil, prestou diversas homenagens àqueles que se distinguiram por seu trabalho em prol da Ordem DeMolay.
Entre elas, muito significativa foi a homenagem a um dos Maçons históricos da Ordem DeMolay, integrante de uma das primeiras turmas de jovens, em 1983, Antonio Carlos Moreira. Atualmente Grande Rei no Grande Capítulo de Maçons do Real Arco do Brasil e Grande Representante das Grandes Lojas americanas de Nova York e Florida, Moreira continua a dedicar-se à Ordem De Molay, da qual tem a Legião de Honra e o Grau de Chevalier.
O Presidente da Sessão, Deputado Rodrigo Amorim, amavelmente solicitou a João Guilherme C. Ribeiro, Deputado do General Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons Intrernational para a América Latina 2005-14 e antigo Membro Efetivo do Supremo Conselho DeMolay, que fizesse o encerramento da sessão que evidenciou a união dos Maçons com as novas gerações que certamente estarão nas fileiras da Maçonaria como verdadeiros Irmãos.

DeMolays’ Day in ALERJ
On March 20, the City Council of the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro dedicated a Solemn Session to honor the Order of DeMolay. Founded in 1919, in the United States, and brought to Brazil by the Sovereign Grand Commander Alberto Mansur, this paramasonic Order, dedicated to young people, became the largest in the world, surpassing the American original.
The well-attended ceremony, chaired by Hon. Representative Rodrigo Amorim, was organized by Márcio Schein and Diogo Damasceno, respectively Past State Grand Master and current State Grand Master of the Supreme Council DeMolay Brazil, paid several tributes to those who distinguished themselves for their work on behalf of the Order of DeMolay.
Among them, very significant was the tribute to one of the historic Masons of the Order of DeMolay, member of one of the first groups of young people, in 1983, Antonio Carlos Moreira. Currently Grand King in the Grand Chapter of Freemasons of the Royal Arch of Brazil and Grand Representative of the American Grand Lodges of New York and Florida, Moreira continues to dedicate himself to the Order of Molay, from which he holds the Legion of Honor and the Degree of Chevalier.
The President of the Session, Representative Rodrigo Amorim, kindly asked João Guilherme C. Ribeiro, Deputy of the General Grand Chapter of Royal Arch Masons International for Latin America 2005-14 and former Member of the Supreme Council DeMolay, to close the session which evidenced the union of Freemasons with the new generations that will certainly be in the ranks of Freemasonry as true Brothers.
